What is the Prestacycle Tyre Glider®?

The Prestacycle Tyre Glider® is a compact bicycle tire installation and removal tool. It combines a rim-guided fitting clip with a removal scoop to help make tire changes easier.

How is it different from a traditional tire lever?

A traditional tire lever works by lifting a section of the bead over the rim. Tyre Glider® also provides a fitting clip that guides the bead onto the rim as you push the tool around the wheel.

Will it help install a tight bicycle tire?

Yes. Helping with difficult tire installation is one of its main benefits. The amount of effort depends on the tire, rim, and technique; particularly tight combinations can still require additional assistance.

Does it remove tires as well as install them?

Yes. Its integrated scoop helps lift the bead over the rim so the tool can guide it off. Some especially tight combinations may still benefit from a separate tire lever to start removal.

How do I install a tire with Tyre Glider®?

Following the demonstration, start at the valve, attach the fitting clip to the rim, and push the tool forward with your palm to guide the bead onto the rim. Follow the tire and wheel manufacturers’ fitting instructions and check the installation before inflation.

Will it work with every tire and rim?

Compatibility depends on the tire and rim combination and the tool’s fit on the rim. Check the compatibility specifications and practice on your own wheels before relying on it for a roadside repair.

Can I carry it in my puncture-repair kit?

Yes. Its compact design makes it convenient to carry with your other repair supplies. You will still need the appropriate tube or repair materials and a way to inflate the tire.

Prestacycle makes no other warranty, expressed or implied, except that of title. Any and all other warranties are expressly disclaimed.

This warranty applies under conditions of intended use and is exclusive of equipment subjected to: Failure to follow recommended assembly and service procedures, Lack of proper maintenance, excessive duty cycle, exposure to the elements, shipping damage and modification not authorized by Prestacycle. No warranty claims will be honored without prior authorization for repair from Prestacycle. Any replaced or repaired equipment will be warranted for the remainder of the warranty term only.
