David Finlayson, a lifelong cyclist raised in a family of Scottish engineers, set out to fix that. The result was the Prestaflator, a tool that quickly became a favourite among riders and mechanics alike.

In the early days, Prestacycle recognised a gap in the market. Many cycling tools were:

Prestacycle took a different approach.

Founded in 2006 in upstate New York, Prestacycle sits at the meeting point of the Hudson and Mohawk river valleys, surrounded by the Adirondack, Catskill, and Green Mountain ranges.
It’s a natural playground for cyclists — and the perfect testing ground for new ideas.
European Expansion Timeline
2023 — Prestacycle launches full-scale distribution in the UK
